Sustainability and our values
We believe that caring for both people and the environment is essential to the continuity of life and business in the countryside. We want to preserve local culture and rural traditions while contributing to the social, ecological and economic well-being of the region.
The farm buildings and domestic hot water are heated using wood chips from our own forest, and all the electricity we use comes from renewable energy sources. Grass is grown on our fields, binding carbon and keeping the soil covered throughout the year, while grazing cattle maintain the traditional rural landscape. Our forests are also managed with a long-term perspective, with their health and future generations in mind.

In our farm tourism business, we make extensive use of locally produced ingredients, local service providers and second-hand or restored furniture. We sort waste appropriately and also guide our guests in recycling. Laundry is washed using Finnish-made, environmentally certified detergents. We have also installed a defibrillator in the main building, available to anyone in the surrounding area in an emergency.
Genuine hospitality and warm service are among the most important values guiding our tourism business.
